Start Again

What is my day,

But an unending spiral staircase to climb,

Whilst dodging pianos falling overhead.

Veer left, sail right,

The overcorrection slows me down,

And weighs heavy on my mind.

Still climbing,

Heart pounds in my small chest, until-

splat

Bones shattered, shiny white flecks on the ground,

Dull, spirit crushed eyes peer down.

Start again, I tell myself,

Start again.
